Draft Law on the State Language registered in Seimas
A new draft Law on the State Language (Valstybinės kalbos įstatymo projektas) was registered in Seimas on 24 April 2006. It had been drafted by the working group headed by Česlovas Juršėnas, Deputy Chairman of Seimas. The draft law will soon be submitted to the Seimas committees for deliberation.
It is hoped that the draft law will get the attention of the general public and will be discussed widely.
